NUHW Members Are Leaving For Better Jobs At Sutter and Kaiser

According to NUHW’s own website, NUHW members are leaving their jobs at NUHW-represented facilities to find “better jobs” at facilities represented by SEIU-UHW. The truth is that NUHW cannot win good contracts and they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore.

From their website:

St. Joseph caregivers represented by the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) will speak about understaffing; noncompetitive wages; threatened cuts to workers’ healthcare and retirement benefits; and increased turnover as workers leave for jobs at other local hospitals. [SOURCE]

Even workers at the hospital say that everyone is leaving to find jobs at hospitals represented by SEIU-UHW.

“Memorial Hospital used to be the gold standard – everyone wanted to work here,” said Denise Tilman, a 21-year financial counselor at the hospital. “But now people are leaving for better jobs at Sutter and Kaiser.” [SOURCE]

Many of us have lost years of raises and lost benefits thanks to NUHW. How much has NUHW cost you? Figure out here.
