Message Delivered: Children’s Hospital Workers Want Out of NUHW

In September 2015, nearly half of the workers represented by NUHW at Children’s Hospital of Oakland voted to get rid of NUHW and join SEIU-UHW instead. They were clear in their message to NUHW: “We are fed up with poor representation, low wages, new rights for management, no respect, and no power to fight back.” The election result was too close to call, and workers are now taking legal action to make sure they have the opportunity to vote again.

And with this contract and the new rights NUHW gave management, it’s no surprise worker want to leave.
